Not For The Ordinary

India's love for SUV's doesn't seem to satiate that easily and to quench the thirst of mid segment buyers, Maruti Suzuki is launching a sub 4-metre compact SUV. Maruti Suzuki is currently standing at 48% of Indian passenger car market share and looking relentless in reclaiming what they achieved with Vitara Brezza last year. This mini monster looks like a complete package after few breaths. With its unconventional design and striking looks, this car will go on to define a new segment of its own. A combo of flat-edge and tall-boy design, this car has hit the sweet spot. Ignis has a very large honeycomb grille that reminds us of the first generation Maruti 800. The headlamps and the bumper have a very simple and SUV like feel with two large fog lamps on each side. The upright muscular bonnet again lends an SUV-like design to the Ignis. From the side profile, the Ignis has a very uptown stance, with the C-pillar and the wide wheel arches making it look like a soldier ready to open fire. The wheels itself in terms of design are again very SUV like with a chunky The windscreen again is different and heavily raked forward. The rear bumper also has a black plastic cladding to break up the otherwise tall design on the Ignis. The only part which could have been improved is the tail light according to me. Overall the car is a compete package with different interiors and ample of space inside the car.
