The blind-spot monitor is a vehicle-based sensor device that detects other vehicles located to the driver’s side and rear. Warnings can be visual, audible, vibrating, or tactile. However, blind-spot monitors are an option that may do more than monitor the sides and rear of the vehicle. They may also include Cross Traffic Alert, which alerts drivers backing out of a parking space when traffic is approaching from the sides. This feature can be sen in luxurious cars like Audi, BMW and recently the Korean company Kia configured this feature in its latest offering Seltos.

The MG Hector is available with one diesel and two petrol engine options. While the 1.5-litre turbocharged unit produces 143PS/250Nm, the 2.0-litre diesel puts out 170PS/350Nm. This powertrain offers relaxed driving and usable performance at all times. The throttle response is predictable and thanks to the 48V mild-hybrid system’s torque boost, all you need for city commutes is light throttle inputs. The 6-speed manual gearbox is also set up tall. In simple terms, it offers adequate driveability and doesn’t start knocking even if you upshift early. The diesel engine, as we’ve experienced in the Compass, offers stronger mid-range punch, which makes highway overtakes easier. Moreover, we\'d suggest you taking the test drive of the vehicle so that you can understand the difference and finalize you choice to buy - Car Showrooms

If you do not wish to wait further, then you may go for the BS4 variant. Moreover, BS6 compliant cars are likely to get a price hike once in the market. Also, buying a BS4 compliant car would not affect your owning experience even when the upcoming norm kicks in.

Buying a diesel car now won\'t make any difference in future after the launch of BS6 compliant engine as the availability for spares and service will be there after sale and as of now there is no official update regarding the discontinuation of the diesel engine. So, if you are in a need of a car now you can go with the current BS4 norm car and if you are looking for the better emmision norms and updated car you can wait for the launch of BS compliant car.
