This car never disappoints! I own the AWD Alpha model of the Grand Vitara, and I’m impressed not only by the mileage but also by its off-road capability. In a city like Srinagar (J&K), where bumper-to-bumper traffic is common, this car delivered a mileage of 24.7 kmpl (according to my last refill) and 25.8 kmpl before that. This mileage gives me great relief about my purchase. I got it for 18.89 lakhs on the road, and it's worth it for the mileage alone. On the highways, I've consistently achieved 28.2 kmpl, sometimes even 29.7 kmpl. The Panasonic sunroof is a significant upgrade, and the seating capacity is excellent—four people can sit comfortably in the rear. During a camping trip to Sonamarg, I had eight people in the car, and the 373 liters of boot space easily accommodated a tent, a traditional tea samovar, and other essentials. This car never felt underpowered, and I don’t regret buying a five-seater. Maruti Suzuki has earned my trust, and I’m now looking to buy only their cars. People might not believe me, but I once got 32 kmpl on the highway!
