Good Family Car For A 4-5 People For Lon g Trips

I bought Carens 7DCT in February 2023. I went on a long trip to north India almost covered 6000 km in 8 days spanning across 9 states. Hyd>Del>Manali>Haridwar>Rishikesh> Agra> Nagpur> Hyderabad. We are 4 passengers on the trip. Below are the pros and cons observed. 1. Excellent comfort for 4 folks with heavy baggage 2. Excellent vehicle stability and road control 3. Never felt the lag for power on steep ghat roads and curves 4. Air pressure in tyres was consistent and didn't require air filling since I bought the car 5. Music speaker quality is ok ( not super) 6. Sports mode is very effective while overtaking on ghat roads 7. The Horn sound is quite good 9. AC is really good and its independent AC vents are an outstanding feature in this segment. 10. Ground clearance is very good and able to steer through tough mud roads Cons: 1. Headlights lighting visibility needs improvement or upgradation 2. Glares on the windshield are very distracting due to the design of the dashboard design reflecting during morning drives when the sunshine is falling on the dashboard. This for sure needs improvement. 3. Fuel economy is not the best in the segment. Roughly 11-12 km on the highway. An important aspect of the opportunity to improve. 4. 2nd-row seats can further have better recliners similar to the driver and co-driver 5. The entertainment display had a lot of issues. Many times maps get disconnected and had problems with getting stuck. This was observed after driving 2000 km. Will write feedback to KIA on these issues. This was the biggest problem faced during our trip and caused a few detours as we were solely dependent on map guidance for the unknown routes.
