The Hyundai Grand i10 model series is the latest hatchback in the Indian automobile market and it has been launched in both petrol and diesel variants. There are quite a few diesel variants for the buyers to choose from which are available in its portfolio out of which this Hyundai Grand i10 CRDi Magna is the mid range trim in its model series. The company has equipped this diesel variant with a second generation 1.1-litre, U2 diesel engine that is designed for Indian roads for greater fuel efficiency. The company promises a maximum fuel efficiency of about 24 Kmpl (as per ARAI certification), which seems to be an added asset of this diesel hatch for the buyers. The company believes that the new Hyundai Grand i10 hatch is going to be a best seller in the Indian automobile market very soon. Coming to the exterior appearance, this newly launched Hyundai Grand i10 looks very sleek and stylish with design elements of the brand on its front and rear. This hatch is much bigger in terms of length, width and wheelbase in comparison to the existing Hyundai i10 model. Hence, the occupants will have ample space inside the cabin. The company has furbished the interior cabin with a trendy looking beige and black color scheme and it is complimented by blue interior illumination. This hatch will now lock horns with the likes of Nissan Micra, Maruti Swift, Maruti Ritz, Toyota Etios Liva and other such contenders in the automobile market.
Exteriors:
This all new Hyundai Grand i10 model series is another fascinating hatchback introduced by the South Korean auto maker. This new hatchback model looks sportier, stylish, bolder and extremely alluring like no other hatch in its segment. The company has designed a newly styled headlight cluster that is very expressive , stylish and incorporates powerful headlamps and turn indicators. In the center there is a small chrome treated radiator grille incorporated with a prominent company logo embedded on it. What truly is impressive about its front facade is the sporty styled bumper that also has a large hexagonal shaped air dam in it. This large air dam is surrounded by a pair of round shaped fog lamps that are distinctly designed for proper amplification. On the side profile of this hatchback, the wheel arches have been beautifully fitted with 14 inch steel wheels and are covered with full wheel caps. While the outside door mirrors and the outside door handles have been painted in body color. On the rear end of this hatch, there is a tailgate opener and the bumper has been garnished in body color, while the company logo has been garnished in chrome. The taillight cluster is beautifully designed, which are complimenting the rear profile of the hatch. Furthermore, a couple of reflectors are also incorporated on the bumper, which adds to the safety of the hatch.
Interiors:
The interior cabin section of the new Hyundai Grand i10 model series comes in a dual tone beige and black color scheme, which is standard across all the variants. Also the company has brought blue illumination inside the cabin for enhancing the style and elegance of the hatch. The company has design the dashboard in the most beautiful way and given it a dual toned look. This dashboard houses several important features including an air conditioner, AC vents and several other control switches . There is a three spoke steering wheel that would give fascinating feel while driving. The company used premium fabric upholstery to cover the wide, well cushioned and comfortable seats fitted inside the cabin. Furthermore, there is a stylish instrument cluster that is incorporated with tachometer, gear shift indicator, door and boot lid ajar warning, a seat belt warning and a low fuel indicator. Apart from this, this instrument cluster also comes with a multi-information display that comes with a digital clock, a dual trip meter, average vehicle speed and engine running time as well.
Engine and Performance:
This Hyundai Grand i10 CRDi Magna is the mid range diesel variant that is powered by the second generation 1.1-litre, U2 diesel engine . This is perhaps a truly performance packed diesel engine designed by the company and it is designed for those seeking higher fuel efficiency. This engine can produce a displacement capacity of about 1120cc and unleashes a maximum power of about 70bhp at 4000rpm and yields a maximum 160Nm in between 1500rpm to 2750rpm. What truly impressive about this diesel engine is its ability to produce a class leading mileage of about 24 Kmpl (as certified by ARAI).
Braking and Handling:
This new hatchback model series comes with traditional disc and drum braking mechanism that provides full control over the hatch. Its front wheels are fitted with the disc brakes, while the rear wheels are assembled with drum brakes . These brakes works effectively in all conditions. On the other hand, you won't find it difficult to handle this hatch because of the robust suspension system and a high quality motor driven power steering system, which is very responsive. The front axle of this hatchback is assembled with McPherson Strut suspension while its rear axle is blessed with coupled torsion beam axle type of suspension, which is enhanced by gas type shock absorbers.
Comfort Features:
As far as the comfort features are concerned, this all new Hyundai Grand i10 CRDi Magna mid range variant is blessed with a set of attractive features inside. Although, its price is made very competitive, the company hasn't compromised on the comfort levels and convenience aspects of the passengers. Because of this, the Hyundai Grand i10 CRDi Magna variant is incorporated with impressive features including a manual air conditioner, a motor driven electric power steering, tinted glass , power windows with driver side auto down function, electrically adjustable ORVMs, a passengers vanity mirror, rear AC vent, front and rear door map pockets, front passenger seat back pocket and many others.
Safety Features:
The South Korean auto firm has also given utmost importance to the safety aspects of the new Hyundai Grand i10 model. Its mid range variant is blessed with some of the sophisticated and advanced safety features including an engine immobilizer system , a central locking system, front fog lamps, day and night rear view mirrors, standard key less entry and so on. This hatchback is very strong and it is said to be built in a special manner that assures the safety of passengers inside the cabin.

- Feature Packed Hatch from Hyundai. Value for Money!It has been almost 3 years since I started driving my Car. I have driven Close to 25000 Km. When the thought of buying a small hatch came to my mind, I was looking at Polo from the beginning. But Soon grand i10 was launched. Seeing the list of features that this less value car had to offer my mind started thinking whether I should go for Polo or not. When I went for the test drive, I literally fell for this car because of the Interior quality that it offered and also the features that it had. At this price point, no car was even close to this at that point of time. Even now when you compare the features it is way ahead, for Ex. the request sensors are there on both the door handles for Asta Trim. The much more premium sibling from Hyundai, Creta is only providing it on the driver side door handle even in the Top Trim. So far the overall experience with the car has been good. It's very easy to Drive, especially in City traffic. While driving on the highways you will feel a little lack of power when trying to overtake other vehicles. But I hardly do more than two highway trips per month and most of my driving is within the City limits and hence I am really happy with my Car. The ride quality at high speed is stable and confident. The refinement levels of the Petrol Engine is excellent. There is absolutely no noise or vibration when the car is idle. At times you will be in doubt whether the car is on or off especially in traffic signals. The Clutch is light and the Gearbox is smooth. Headroom is generous in front and cabin width is sufficient enough to prevent front seat occupants from elbowing each other. All round driver visibility is adequate, including rear vision when parking the Car even though the driver seating position is a bit on the lower side. The rear parking sensors provide audio feedback and work perfectly. Rear Seat is strictly for two adults. You can squeeze in 3 adults if they are lean. Rear legroom is adequate and the Rear Ac went preset in the car is really a good feature to have as it helps the back seat passengers to relax in the long highway drives during noon time. It doesn't mean that the AC is not powerful enough, but this feature compliments the AC performance. When the backseat is empty, you can shut the blower vents off which I think is a very thoughtful feature, but the same cannot be done in the case of front ac vents. For a car that is feature loaded you will definitely fell the absence of functions like speed sensing door locks, Distance to Empty Indicator and automatic climate control. Also I feel that the horn of the car is a little on the lower side. On an average, I am getting a mileage of around 12-15 Km/l which includes 90% city drives and the AC always turned on. Overall the car is a perfect small family car and you will never regret choosing this over the others.और देखें10
- Luxury With Affordable TagHyundai is always known for the premium feel they provide in their interiors across the segment, the same you can experience in Grand i10 as well. It is well spacious, gives a premium feel in interior plastic, good & quick response from the engine, enough room on the back, chill air conditioner and decent boot space. It comes with the signature Fluidic design philosophy by Hyundai. The attractive car catches your attention with its facade. The chic headlamps are well-styled with the chrome finished radiator grille. The hexagonal pattern with the black mesh is good. The air dam size is of decent size, while the silver finished logo adds a little bling to the car?s front profile. The well-pronounced wheel arches fitted with 14-inches alloy wheels. The class appearance is further enhanced with the help of chrome plated door handles in the top range. The base variant of the car comes with black door handles and ORVMs. The rear profile of i10 Grand has a sporty rear spoiler and the tail gate has Hyundai badging. The clear lens taillight cluster goes in sync with inventive rear bumper. The sportiness factor is a bit higher and better in Hyundai i10 Grand.और देखें2
- Owner's Review 1100 KMOwner's review 1100Km: I bought the Grand i10 petrol top model this Diwali Oct-2016 and have driven ~1000 KM so far, mostly city driving in Jaipur. It runs on city roads. Flawlessly, light steering, smooth gear shift and the best thing is the rear AC vents but there are a few things that I miss in Grand i10 from driver's point of view. (1) Average fuel economy on MID, (2) Instant Fuel Economy on MID, (3) Distance to Empty on MID, (4) Dead Pedal for resting left leg (even Santro had this but not available in Grand i10 or i20,surprising for me), (5) Reverse camera (sensors are available in Asta Option), (6) Touch screen AVN (AV unit available in Anniversary edition but not in top variant Asta option), (7) EBD (Electronic brakeforce distribution)... All must have features. At least, Hyundai should have AVN or AV and rear parking camera along with some other accessories at the dealership so that interested customers can get it done at dealership itself. I also miss some additional storage spaces like KUV100 has (under the seat and under floor storage very helpful and hidden storages). I also like the integrated music system, Bluetooth connectivity feature and steering mounted control. It works flawlessly and the Bluetooth feature is a boon when you get a call while driving. Also, The features like keyless entry along with start-stop button add premiums to the car. In addition to this Hyundai has to do some work in the suspension area, it does its job most of the times well but still, an improvement is required! Front view for the driver isn't very good. You have to take a call while parking whether there is enough gap or not as the driver seat doesn't move up to that level so that front space can be seen properly. The new Grand i10 is offered with two engine options - one petrol and one diesel (1.1L U2). The petrol engine is the same Kappa 1.2 dual VTVT engine which is already doing a good job in some of the other cars in the Hyundai lineup. The 1,197cc engine develops a peak power of 83 bhp at 6,000 rpm and peak torque of 114Nm at 4,000 rpm in the Grand i10. The engine is smooth and silent and does a great job most of the time. Rest is really good e.g. interior quality, fit and finish, style, power, sporty alloy wheels, rear washer and wiper, 1 litre bottle space in all door pockets, foldable rear seat, front fog lamps, two 12v power sockets, enough space in front to keep knick-knacks, cooled glove box, low maintenance, Hyundai's superior service network. Fuel efficiency in city ~14-15Kmpl also good enough. I am expecting it to improve after first the service. Music System: Loads of options to play music, USB-Drive, Aux, Bluetooth, Integrated 1 GB storage (863 MB usable) but no CD/DVD player. Sound quality is fair enough. Steering mounted controls for music system controls to change track, increase/decrease volume and mute. Overall it is a very nice family hatchback with tonnes of features at this price point a big thumbs up for all future buyers who are looking for a feature loaded small hatchback.और देखें3 1
- Good Car With ProblemsI am not a rash driver. I take care of my vehicle well and ensure on time service. Highway mileage is good but city mileage goes for a toss. Sometimes I feel it has less powered motor especially uphill drive with A/C switched on. Suddenly on a fine day my car's A/C stopped working, this happened after 2 yr 4 months and 28000 KM of usage. I have an extended warranty from Hyundai for the third year but now they are not giving it for the A/C. I fail to understand why as it is an internal part. I like the interiors and build quality. Tyre quality which Hyundai provides is not up to the mark, tyres wear out a bit early. The car has a low ground clearance and does not go well with bumpy roads. Also, the suspension is bit hard. Certainly, with my experience with Grand i10 and Suzuki Swift, I am not a big fan of Grand i10. I would not recommend it to anybody. If you want peace of mind, go for Swift any day.और देखें3
