A very practical car with a very frugal engine and superb driving dynamics. I would have given 6 stars for comfort if it had allowed me. The Hyundai i20 has great road clearance, outstanding braking, and superb handling. Engine power and capacity are amazing. Despite having a diesel variant, the engine makes no sound. It's just wonderful.

I bought i20 in Jan 2022. I'm very happy with the comfort and driving stability of the car it's a good hatchback for a family for a long drive. Undoubtedly the best car in its segment, it's not a premium hatchback but a luxury hatchback indeed. None of its rivals compares to the i20 in terms of features, drivability and engine refinement. The car has low mileage and is under power, because of the 1.2-litre petrol engine, and heavy-weights of the car. It's premium, comfortable, and has good features car. The mid variant Sportz petrol is very convenient and value for money.

No doubt car is fully featured, all features which come in 15-16 lakh car all are there but at time of average, it's inferior. I buy Asta petrol and the average local in the city is 12-13kmpl and the company claims 15-16kmpl. After purchasing I got a lot of issues with the car, first, Cruze control, and engine. I suggest everyone doesn't buy.

Overall I loved this 1.2L Variant, it feels premium. The engine is sufficiently powerful but lags that punch on hilly drives while overtaking. Fuel efficiency is again decent, on highways 18-20 kmpl. But in the city with heavy traffic, it can go as low as 8-9 kmpl, so it can give you around 15-16 kmpl in total (highway+city).

Overall car performance is good, one of few cars which provide rear ac vent in a base model. Feels a little less spacious than rival Altroz. The safety rating is really disappointing. It beats Altroz in engine refinement and just they are giving rear AC vent. If your budget is limited then it is really a good choice and Hyundai is good at service.

I have owned an I 10, I 10 grand, Verna 1.5 diesel, and I20 CRDi Magna. Loved all of them. But, the i20 turbo sports has been something that I am not happy about. Overall i20 Sportz diesel is a good deal, the engine is very smooth, has good power and torque with a decent mileage of 15 to 17. Built quality is good total weight 1092 kgs. Hyundai never disappoints in any manner. I took the IVT petrol version. I must say the engine is very refined such you have to look on the cluster sometimes to check it is running. Absolutely pathetic car to drive. The 1.2 Kappa engine is bullcrap. It's possible to overtake a vehicle, feels extremely underpowered. The inside of the cabin is pathetic. Absolute trash of an engine, which has great pulling power downhill. At the slightest deceleration while climbing the car refuses to respond even if you floor the accelerator.

It expensive car but I got value for my money lots of features are coming in the new I20 Asta diesel model. Giving 19 to 21 average in city and 23 to 25 on the highway and no hatchback is giving this much average on 1.5-litre engine. Very comfortable for a long drive. You never get tired.
