Tata Motor Group is one of the oldest automobile manufacturers in the country and among one of the most highly reputed car makers. They manufacture a lot of vehicles for the Indian as well as the international car markets and are among the leading car makers from the country. The company has a formidable fleet of cars in their esteemed stable, which are doing tremendously well in the car markets. Their reputed fleet of vehicles includes some of the most formidable SUVs, sedans and hatchbacks as well. One such impressive hatchback is the Tata Indica EV2 series, which was introduced in year 2011 and has been one of the company’s top selling hatchbacks in the country both in petrol and diesel engine variants. The Tata Indica model line of hatchbacks has been known for their fuel efficient engines along with impressive exteriors and luxurious interior features along with comfortable space to accommodate five occupants. The company has recently launched the refreshed trims of the all new Indica eV2, which has been incorporated with some additional new exterior and internal features. There have been some interesting changes to the exteriors of this new Tata Indica eV2 as well, which will without doubt attract the customers into buying it. Some of these new additions to this refreshed Tata Indica eV2 eXeta GLE are newly designed head lamps, a new front grille, a sporty rear spoiler and many more such impressive features. This refreshed all new Tata Indica eV2 eXeta GLE has been fitted with a BS–IV compliant petrol drive train of 1.3 L and is mated with a 5-speed manual transmission gear box. This power train is renowned to be highly fuel efficient and one of the most performance packed motor in its segment. The interiors of this hatchback has also been done up very tastefully and some new features have also been included which differ from one trim to another but will certainly amaze the buyers.
Exteriors
This all new Tata Indica eV2 eXeta GLE has been given some very impressive cosmetic changes to its exteriors, which will surely make it look discrete from the other variants of the Tata Indica model series. To begin with, it has a body colored bumpers, a newly designed head lamp cluster and a neatly done up front radiator grille . The head lamp cluster design is pristine and it has been fitted with powerful motorized clear lens head lights along with clear lens side blinker lamps. The front wind screen is quite large and is made up of toughened glass, which has been fitted with a couple of intermittent front wipers. The side profile has black colored door handles and external rear view mirrors, which can be manually adjusted from inside. The neatly carved wheel arches have been fitted with sturdy steel rims that are equipped with robust tubeless radial tyres of size 155/80 R13, which have a superior road grip. The rear end is also very stylish with a bright tail lamp cluster and a prominent logo of the company, which is embossed on the boot lid. All these put together gives this all new Indica eV2 an overall refreshing and lively stance.
Interiors
The company has done some notable changes to the interiors of this Tata Indica eV2 eXeta GLE. This new hatchback trim has been gifted with wonderful shadow beige interiors. The seating arrangement is very relaxing and this spacious hatchback can let in five passengers with no difficulty and give them proper leg room along with good shoulder and head space. The seats are covered in premium upholstery, which are making this new Tata Indica EV2 look sophisticated and urbane. There are quite a few storage spaces as well in this hatchback, such as bottle and cup holders along with magazine and map pockets in the front doors as well as between the front seats. There is also a large glove box to accommodate a few bigger things as well. There is a front cabin light that has spot lamps in it for brighter visibility in the dark for the occupants.
Engine and Performance
This all new refreshed Tata Indica eV2 eXeta GLE has been equipped with a 1.2 litre petrol engine, which has four cylinders. This powerful engine is BS-IV complaint and this low emission generating power train can displace about 1193cc and has been integrated with a MPFi (multi point fuel injection fuel supply system) , which helps in improving the fuel efficiency of this wonderful Tata Indica eV2 eXeta GLE. This performance packed drive train has the capacity to generate a peak power output of 63.99 Bhp at 5000 Rpm in combination with a maximum torque yield of 99.8 Nm at 2700 Rpm. This impressive and highly acclaimed power plant has been skillfully mated with a five speed manual transmission gear box . The fuel tank capacity of this latest hatchback is approximately around 37 litres, which is quite good even for longer highway drives.
Braking and Handling
Tata Motors has equipped this newest entrant with a strong and sturdy suspension system along with a powerful and efficient braking mechanism , which will keep the occupants as well as the new Indica EV2 very stable and safe. The front wheels of this refreshed hatchback has been fitted with a proficient set of disc brakes, while the rear wheels are equipped with competent drum brakes, which help in efficient braking and better control. On the other hand the front axle of this new refreshed Tata Indica eV2 eXeta GLE has been incorporated with an independent, Wishbone Type McPherson Strut that also has an Antiroll Bar . Whereas the company has given the rear axle of this new Indica ev2 a semi trailing arm along with a coil spring, which is mounted on hydraulic shock absorbers. Both these systems put together ensure that this hatchback is well balanced and under efficient control of the driver.
Safety Features
The refreshed Tata Indica eV2 eXeta GLE has been equipped with some very essential safety features, which will assist in keeping the occupants as well as the hatchback safe. The list includes child safety locks on the rear doors for added protection of the children. Then there is a high mounted stop lamp above the rear wind screen, which helps in making this hatchback visible to the other cars from behind from a distance . All the seats have been given seat belts for added safety along with three point ELR (emergency locking retractor) equipped seat belts for the driver as well as the front co-passenger. This refreshed Tata Indica eV2 eXeta GLE also has a collapsible steering column for added protection of the driver.
Comfort Feature
The company has equipped this latest Tata Indica eV2 eXeta GLE with quite a number of convenience and practical features, which add to the comfort of all the occupants. This trim has been given more than a few such features, which are a powerful and efficient air conditioning unit which cools the entire cabin space within no time to give all the passengers a comfortable driving experience. This refreshed Tata Indica eV2 GLE Xeta also gets a front power outlet for charging mobiles, fixed lumbar support for the front seats along with 2-way adjustable head rests for both the front seats. This hatchback also gets a remote operated opening of the fuel lid as well as the boot lid, which adds to the utility of the passengers.

Exteriors can be made better, more features can be added, space constraint for taller middle passenger in the rear seat.

- Tata Indica V2- Durable Car With Good Mileage and Boot SpaceI recently had a chance to drive my friend's Tata Indica V2 when I needed to go for a the long journey from Mumbai to Pune. I have to say that despite its average looks, the car doesn't compromise on performance. It has got nice pick up good fuel efficiency, which is, of course, acceptable to common Indian man wanting more for less. Tata Indica V2 is a family car with very low maintenance cost that seems to be the most important for any customer. The dashboard is fair while the overall quality of interiors is below average as compared to contemporaries. Driver's seat is height adjustable and at the rear, it gets enough leg space with 3 adults are able to sit comfortably. The boot space available in the car is quite pleasing, best then what Maruti Swift offers. For better safety, Tata Indica V2 comes with side-impact beams, collapsible steering columns, child safety locks, headlamp leveler and rigid monochrome frame. Tata Indica gets 1.4L diesel motor that can generate the power output of 54PS and peak torque of 85Nm. - I LIKE MY INDICA VERY MUCHI liked the indica as when i gone to purchase a car in tata showroom. I liked its fully mechanical controlled engine in which any kind of sensor is used in the engine. It is easily repaired by myself as all parts are easily available in market at right price. A premium car have superior crafts man ship. It has a wonder full 1300 cc diesel engine which is very power full as it cannot leave me in any kind of weather conditions and in any kind of very tilted slope. As it is drived for 200000 km it cannot give any kind of major problem in it. Its air conditioner is very power full as it cools the car in 5 minutes from starting the ac. It cannot need of any kind of service and repair or any kind of service is done until. I travel to most of my places on it it cannot give me any kind of problem in my trip it very comfortable and very good interior quality. - Tata Indica eV2 (Diesel) : My first ufordable hatchbackI have this eV2 CR4 LX purchased in Dec 11. During last 5 yrs and 1 month, it has been driven by just 60 kms per day for office up & down. It has good looking Exterior. No specific features in this car, space is good, and not comfortable hard shock-absorbers. Pickup and speed is nice, fuel economy acceptable for all class, gear box e are not better than other diesel hatchbacks. Above 60kmph we feel like sailing in highways but in normal roads its like cart or lorry in travelling. Tata motors should do the suspension good and make the road grip, soft shock absorbers and strong axles, noiseless engine, this will be the indias no one diesel hatch back, if this car have the above changes it will definitely beat the swift, polo etc, now its engine pickup was too good. Areas of improvement Interior,roadgrip,axle importantly suspension & shock-absorbers for front and rear, strong dashboards. led fog lampfor front and rear may improve the class of the car.
