Have booked this car and getting it delivered on 17-aug. The test drive was absolutely amazing. Ride and you will find that it has more responsive engine than Jazz or other cars that have more power on paper. Features like cruise control are a delight for long drives. Interiors are impressive. Rear seats are little cramped. But should be okay. Best value for money package from volkswagen in the segment just now. City mileage is 12-13 while highways is 17-18. Automatic variant could be a lucrative option for city driving...presently unavailable. The high power output of 177PS and superb torque of 350Nm developed at very low rpm, can take this to high speeds of order of 150kmph within very span of time. The automtic transmission is very smooth and efficient giving quick varitation of torque at the wheels. The excellent quality of interior features and perfect stability over high speed driving and the complete set of safety features including dual airbags at front, side and curtain airbags for complete protection. Its expensive but worth it for the kind of luxury, performance and the kind of reputation it gets for the owner. Pros: Solid build with good quality materials, safety features, cruise control....especially for long drives onthe highway, rear ac vents, rain sensing wipers, driver arm rest, .....this is a drivers car. Cons: Poor leg room at the rear....(though not a dealbreaker) can get congested and uncomfortable for 3 adults at the rear, engine nvh high....not very refined....feels like a diesel powerplant. Summary: Good built quality, Great looks and feature packed. Looks like I am the only one in Pune city driving the Ameo since till date I have not seen a single one on road. And people keep looking at the car on the signal or passing by ask me is it the Ameo. Feel proud to own a Volkswagen product
