The Mahindra Thar has a four star rating in worldwide NCAP and performs admirably on the highway and has excellent off road capabilities and the petrol engine is refined but thirsty and the automatic gearbox might be smoother. It delivers linear power but has a low fuel efficiency and its instrument console has an appealing look but a drab inside. It gives buttery smooth 6-speed automatics but the spacing is inadequate and this four seater SUV is well built and stylish and its exterior design is one of its primary selling features.
