- The Elite i20: Elite in every senseIndia witnessed the entry of a phenomenal hatchback in 2014, the Hyundai Elite i20. The car won the award of "Indian Car Of The Year" in 2015 because of all the reasons I'm going to list down in this review. The term "elite" is just the perfect term to describe the car. The i20 comes with a 1.2 Litre 4 cylinder petrol engine that churns out a healthy 84PS of power @6000rpm and 115Nm of torque @4000rpm. While the 1.4 Litre 4 cylinder diesel engine produces 90PS of power @4000rpm and 220Nm of torque @1500rpm. The petrol engine gives a mileage of 18.6 km/litre and the diesel engine gives a mileage of 22.54 km/litre (ARAI approved). The car comes in 4 variants namely Era, Magna, Sportz and Asta ranging from Rs. 5.81-Rs. 9.83 Lakhs. The model I bought in 2015 was the Diesel variant of the Magna and i was overwhelmed to drive such a smooth Diesel car loaded with decent features for just Rs. 8 Lakhs (on-road, Mumbai). Let's talk about the reasons to buy this car and what made the i20 win the ICOTY title. The aggressive look of the car makes it sporty from every angle. Compare it with other hatchbacks and the i20 looks completely outstanding from the rest. The interior comes with a combination of black and beige which makes the car look very pleasant from the inside. Additionally, the blue interior lights give an amazing feel while driving at night. The legroom is decent but it can be a little uneasy for 3 people to sit on the rear seats. The audio system of the car is very fine which comes with USB, aux and bluetooth connectivity facility. Moreover, the multifunction steering wheel makes it very convenient for the driver to manage the music. Talking about the ride quality, the diesel engine is very quick and responsive. The car speeds up at an instance and is very much stable even at speeds of 140 kmph. The steering wheel feels very light and makes it easy for one to drive through sharp turns, traffic and narrow lanes. The brakes were not too late but not very responsive either. The reason being lack of ABS. The NVH(Noise, Vibration and Harshness) levels of the Elite i20 have been very well refined as compared to the older i20. The six gear manual transmission makes the car able to run at higher speeds with very less noise. In fact, at the price of just Rs.8 Lakhs, it was very surprising for me to see a diesel car with such a less amount of noise. That has been the best part about the i20, a powerful diesel engine that keeps your ears away from the engine noise. Another plus point of the car is the reasonable service costs which is Rs1700(approx.) Thanks to Team Hyundai. Coming to the points where the Elite i20 was a disappointment. The biggest drawback of the i20 is the uncomfortable seats. The seats are so wrongly placed that every time I go for a one hour drive, I return home with a bad backache. Secondly, whenever I drive the car from even the small potholes, the car reacts a lot making the whole cabin bumpy. At this date, the biggest competition that the i20 faces is the Maruti Suzuki Baleno. The 2 main advantages that the Baleno gets over the i20 are the better ride comfort and the average. But the i20 outruns the Baleno when it comes to the engine power. The verdict-The i20, with its aggressively sporty looks, phenomenal engine and a list of features loaded inside is definitely the perfect package worth spending your money on.और देखेंWas th आईएस review helpful?हाँनहीं

- The flying car.I20 elite, My first car that i may call my personal car is i20 elite , sportz (vtvt). As my car is a petrol car so my basic problem is mileage issues. with a good pickup, it provides a mileage of 6-8 km/L in city and 10-16 on the highway. Good bass inside the car but treble sound audible outside the car with good bass. As sports model comes with a 14inch rim and Asta model comes with 16inch alloy so it makes a big difference in both models of cars in pick up and mileage. i20 in diesel is a good variant but petrol model has more comfort and smoothness in the driving experience. i20 is a one of a kind type of car. I'll always feel lucky that my first car was i20. I never thought I'll love my car so much. Thank you Hyundai for such an amazing work done by you. you just need to cover the mileage issue and no other car can ever compete you. My love my i20. I hope you win car of the year award again. - HYUNDAI I20: The best hatchToday I am writing a review of my Hyundai Elite i20. I purchased it in october 2016. I bought the asta option 1.4 CRDI variant. It runs on diesel. I bought the white color variant it looks very classy. I liked this car since 2009 when it was launched since then I thought that one day I will also get this car & when I bought this it was like a dream come true. As time flew some improvements were continuously made in this car but the major improvement was in 2015 when the elite i20 was launched. This car had a completely changed character in 2015 making most of the hatchback were attracted towards it & I was also one of them. The 2016 model had some minor improvements like touch screen infotainment system & projector headlamps. This car is fun & easy to drive. It is a very practically designed car & perfect for daily usage. This time it was a more sporty looking car. The interior & the exterior are properly laid out & looks well designed than the previous 2 generations of Hyundai i20. It also has daytime running LED lamps which look very cool. 1) This car is packed with a 1396 CC 4 cylinder turbocharged engine. Each cylinder contains 16 valves. This complete combination produces a maximum power of 89 bhp @ 4000 RPM & a maximum torque of 220 Nm @ 1500 RPM. It gives a mileage of 17 KM (approx) in city drives. I have taken it to a maximum speed of 150 KM/H. When I suddenly accelerate it the engine becomes bit noisy & it feels quite irritating as well. Overall in terms of performance, it is a good car. 2) Its exteriors are literally exotic. The front grill surrounded by a thin chrome garnished strip looks beautiful & elegant. The black & silver color alloy wheels look awesome on the car & give a sporty punch to the car. The rear spoiler looks fabulous on the car the wide tail lamps increase the beauty of the car. The chrome garnished door handles look pretty good making its side profile marvelous. 3) As you will enter in the car you would only say "WOW". The interior of this car is top notch & the best in its segment. It has got a dual tone interior due to which the cabin feels quite open & airy. The dashboard of this car looks beautiful with creme & black color combination. The dashboard is well designed & properly laid out. The big touch screen looks beautiful. The seats are made of a color combination of & creme & black which looks beautiful & match the dashboard. Overall it is a nice package & value for money. 4) In terms of comfort, it is a very comfortable car. The front seats are very comfortable with driver's seat height adjustable, it has got great thigh support making the drive a pleasurable one. The back seats are also comfortable with a nice inclination angle & great thigh support. The leg room & the head room is also great. But there is no armrest at the back seat which lacks a bit in comfort. The suspension of this car is nice, it absorbs almost all the bumps & also does not make much noise. The air conditioner of this car works very well & it does not even take 5 minutes to cool the car, the rear AC vents are also very effective. The parking sensors & the rear camera also works well. 5) It is a very spacious car & has plenty amount of storage. The door pockets can easily hold a 1 L bottle. The storage of front armrest is also enough. The boot is quite big i.e. 285 L & is practically design so that it can easily accommodate a good amount of luggage. This car has a cooled glove box & also has plenty of storage. Overall it is a spacious car. 6) The infotainment system is also great & works perfectly. The touchscreen in this car works great. It supports Bluetooth, 1 AUX port & a USB port. It is easy to access & control. This car also gets navigation support which is a great feature. 7) This is the only car in its price range which offers very good safety by providing 6 airbags. 8) It has got a warranty of 2 years & there is no limit on the number of kilometers driven. I believe that it is a very nice car & worth spending. It has a powerful engine good mileage & an affordable price. Hyundai i20 is pocket-friendly in maintenance. In terms of everything, this car scores well & I think that it is the best option one can opt for.
