India witnessed the entry of a phenomenal hatchback in 2014, the Hyundai Elite i20. The car won the award of "Indian Car Of The Year" in 2015 because of all the reasons I'm going to list down in this review. The term "elite" is just the perfect term to describe the car. The i20 comes with a 1.2 Litre 4 cylinder petrol engine that churns out a healthy 84PS of power @6000rpm and 115Nm of torque @4000rpm. While the 1.4 Litre 4 cylinder diesel engine produces 90PS of power @4000rpm and 220Nm of torque @1500rpm. The petrol engine gives a mileage of 18.6 km/litre and the diesel engine gives a mileage of 22.54 km/litre (ARAI approved). The car comes in 4 variants namely Era, Magna, Sportz and Asta ranging from Rs. 5.81-Rs. 9.83 Lakhs. The model I bought in 2015 was the Diesel variant of the Magna and i was overwhelmed to drive such a smooth Diesel car loaded with decent features for just Rs. 8 Lakhs (on-road, Mumbai). Let's talk about the reasons to buy this car and what made the i20 win the ICOTY title. The aggressive look of the car makes it sporty from every angle. Compare it with other hatchbacks and the i20 looks completely outstanding from the rest. The interior comes with a combination of black and beige which makes the car look very pleasant from the inside. Additionally, the blue interior lights give an amazing feel while driving at night. The legroom is decent but it can be a little uneasy for 3 people to sit on the rear seats. The audio system of the car is very fine which comes with USB, aux and bluetooth connectivity facility. Moreover, the multifunction steering wheel makes it very convenient for the driver to manage the music. Talking about the ride quality, the diesel engine is very quick and responsive. The car speeds up at an instance and is very much stable even at speeds of 140 kmph. The steering wheel feels very light and makes it easy for one to drive through sharp turns, traffic and narrow lanes. The brakes were not too late but not very responsive either. The reason being lack of ABS. The NVH(Noise, Vibration and Harshness) levels of the Elite i20 have been very well refined as compared to the older i20. The six gear manual transmission makes the car able to run at higher speeds with very less noise. In fact, at the price of just Rs.8 Lakhs, it was very surprising for me to see a diesel car with such a less amount of noise. That has been the best part about the i20, a powerful diesel engine that keeps your ears away from the engine noise. Another plus point of the car is the reasonable service costs which is Rs1700(approx.) Thanks to Team Hyundai. Coming to the points where the Elite i20 was a disappointment. The biggest drawback of the i20 is the uncomfortable seats. The seats are so wrongly placed that every time I go for a one hour drive, I return home with a bad backache. Secondly, whenever I drive the car from even the small potholes, the car reacts a lot making the whole cabin bumpy. At this date, the biggest competition that the i20 faces is the Maruti Suzuki Baleno. The 2 main advantages that the Baleno gets over the i20 are the better ride comfort and the average. But the i20 outruns the Baleno when it comes to the engine power. The verdict-The i20, with its aggressively sporty looks, phenomenal engine and a list of features loaded inside is definitely the perfect package worth spending your money on.

Best car in his segment has all that we need in the car...Less Maintenace, look, reliabilty, accessories , style statement everything. Has personal great experience.. except yearly servicing no maintenance, comfortable, even after 50k km still tires are good..

Today I am writing a review of my Hyundai Elite i20. I purchased it in october 2016. I bought the asta option 1.4 CRDI variant. It runs on diesel. I bought the white color variant it looks very classy. I liked this car since 2009 when it was launched since then I thought that one day I will also get this car & when I bought this it was like a dream come true. As time flew some improvements were continuously made in this car but the major improvement was in 2015 when the elite i20 was launched. This car had a completely changed character in 2015 making most of the hatchback were attracted towards it & I was also one of them. The 2016 model had some minor improvements like touch screen infotainment system & projector headlamps. This car is fun & easy to drive. It is a very practically designed car & perfect for daily usage. This time it was a more sporty looking car. The interior & the exterior are properly laid out & looks well designed than the previous 2 generations of Hyundai i20. It also has daytime running LED lamps which look very cool. 1) This car is packed with a 1396 CC 4 cylinder turbocharged engine. Each cylinder contains 16 valves. This complete combination produces a maximum power of 89 bhp @ 4000 RPM & a maximum torque of 220 Nm @ 1500 RPM. It gives a mileage of 17 KM (approx) in city drives. I have taken it to a maximum speed of 150 KM/H. When I suddenly accelerate it the engine becomes bit noisy & it feels quite irritating as well. Overall in terms of performance, it is a good car. 2) Its exteriors are literally exotic. The front grill surrounded by a thin chrome garnished strip looks beautiful & elegant. The black & silver color alloy wheels look awesome on the car & give a sporty punch to the car. The rear spoiler looks fabulous on the car the wide tail lamps increase the beauty of the car. The chrome garnished door handles look pretty good making its side profile marvelous. 3) As you will enter in the car you would only say "WOW". The interior of this car is top notch & the best in its segment. It has got a dual tone interior due to which the cabin feels quite open & airy. The dashboard of this car looks beautiful with creme & black color combination. The dashboard is well designed & properly laid out. The big touch screen looks beautiful. The seats are made of a color combination of & creme & black which looks beautiful & match the dashboard. Overall it is a nice package & value for money. 4) In terms of comfort, it is a very comfortable car. The front seats are very comfortable with driver's seat height adjustable, it has got great thigh support making the drive a pleasurable one. The back seats are also comfortable with a nice inclination angle & great thigh support. The leg room & the head room is also great. But there is no armrest at the back seat which lacks a bit in comfort. The suspension of this car is nice, it absorbs almost all the bumps & also does not make much noise. The air conditioner of this car works very well & it does not even take 5 minutes to cool the car, the rear AC vents are also very effective. The parking sensors & the rear camera also works well. 5) It is a very spacious car & has plenty amount of storage. The door pockets can easily hold a 1 L bottle. The storage of front armrest is also enough. The boot is quite big i.e. 285 L & is practically design so that it can easily accommodate a good amount of luggage. This car has a cooled glove box & also has plenty of storage. Overall it is a spacious car. 6) The infotainment system is also great & works perfectly. The touchscreen in this car works great. It supports Bluetooth, 1 AUX port & a USB port. It is easy to access & control. This car also gets navigation support which is a great feature. 7) This is the only car in its price range which offers very good safety by providing 6 airbags. 8) It has got a warranty of 2 years & there is no limit on the number of kilometers driven. I believe that it is a very nice car & worth spending. It has a powerful engine good mileage & an affordable price. Hyundai i20 is pocket-friendly in maintenance. In terms of everything, this car scores well & I think that it is the best option one can opt for. Just it is a bit costlier than its rivals like polo & Baleno but still, it is a great car to choose.

Hi Friends, Today I have to share my experience regarding my favourite car I have taken a test drive of Hyundai i20 Elite, its an amazing car, the power is great with 1.4-liter engine 1.4-litre CRDi diesel engine, churns out at 90 PS of max power and 22.4 NM of torque. The diesel engine of Elite i20 claims to give the mileage of 22.54 kmpl, That gives you the instead pickup & you will love to drive the car On the Interior front, the Hyundai Elite i20 is equipped with many features like, sporty multi-function steering wheel; integrated 2-Din MP3 audio with USB & AUX-in with 1-GB internal memory, boot space is of 285- liters, elite i20 comes with rear AC vents, FATC (Fully Automatic Temperature Control) for extra comfort & stylish look, console armrest with storage box, driver seat height adjuster, cup holder, sunglass holder, front and rear door map pockets. & the price range is not too high according to the other competitor brands, I am planning to purchase this car in the month February. friends you should have to try it & plan it to purchase.

So, I am talking about the i20 Classic and not the Elite model. So All over its a great car for the Price, it certainly comes off as a good luxury hatchback, for the range of 6-8 lacs. Luxury and Tech Enabled: Hyundai has succeeded in giving good tech features to the car i.e Reverse camera, having amazing feedback with accuracy. The side view automatic mirrors are pretty toughly built and do not get damaged even after few good bumps, they do hold their stance. They have also been considerate on giving the Bluetooth connector for making phone calls and to be honest its a really amazing and very very useful feature, it is so convenient and hassles free especially if your phone has voice control. The Interior is as good as it gets, the dashboard is really up to the mark and does not dissatisfy.Seats are comfortable and discomfort is not any where near. Although there is some leg space issue in the back, but then remember it's a hatchback. But it Wins 4/5 on this segment. Drive Part : So for long drives it is kind of just perfect and the driver would definitely not feel any discomfort with non-stop driving of around 150 Kms a day (I can say this as I have done it a lot of times ) The Clutch and the accelerator handling is so smooth and aligned you do not feel any pressure and I am talking about the manual version. 4/5 - In this Segment. Fuel Efficiency and Pick Up: Well looking at i20 There are only 2 issues which could be to some a considerable setback . First, so the petrol version would give you an efficiency of 10Km/Litre with AC and without AC it comes around 13.5 Km/L. On Highway's It will Easily give you a whopping 18-20 Km/L. Second, So if you are a street racer you are definitely gonna shut the AC off in this car while getting up a notch in this car. 1st and 2nd gear do not really give an edge as compared to the counterpart of Suzuki " You know Which one ". ***But Now when you are on a highway and into your 4th and 5th gear this is the time this car will give you power like a stable beast and it does throttle at 140KPH(Please fill nitrogen in the tires while hitting this speed especially on Indian roads)*** 3.8/5 in this segment. Music System: So the music system is pretty Frigging amazing in this car, you Do not need to get anything installed on the base and the surround sound is pretty amazing. It is good for your Punjabi song (Diljit Dosanjh) to any EDM you listen to, trust me you set the mix right in this car and you do not need to spend any extra penny. So I would give 4.5/5 to this car in this segment. Built and Strength: So i20's structure and built is pretty averagely good, as we are considering we are only spending 6-8 lacs only.So even if you bump here and there the structure does get damaged but it is very easily repairable even by a mechanic or if you prefer the workshop, I should confess the back bumper is pretty strong and does not gets bumped easily. I would give it 3.7/5 in this segment. Overall Rating - Overall Great Car, Great comfort som hurdles are there but there are great many many many benefits to make the hurdles out of awareness.

Version Reviewed: Magna 1.4 CRDI Purchased As : New Familiarity : Have driven a few thousand kilometers .Fuel Economy: 19 kpl Good : Good exterior, quality interior, Rich look, Rocket like pick up in 3rd and 4th gear.Good leg space Bad: Mileage is always depending on your driving style. Some parts are costlier Full Review Exterior Exterior look is always depending personal choice, but I feel like its pretty Good, strong and no structural integrity problems. Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Features are really , overall very Good compare to other cars in the same segment. Engine Performance, Fuel Economy, and Gearbox This is the main area where i20 beats all other cars. When you press accelerator hardly you will be pulled like you are in a fight and getting ready to take off :) Fuel also burn like anything .. don't expect above 12 kmpl when you press hardly. Smooth gear shifting. you get comfortable like 60-70 km even when you drive at 130k speed on highways. Ride Quality & Handling Suspension is just Okay .. not so brilliant but not bad. Final Words Go for it .. if you are trilled when speed goes beyond 120 ... And no issues for spending 100 bugs extra for extra comparability. Areas of improvement N/A

Version Reviewed: Asta 1.2 (O) [2016] Purchased As: New Familiarity : Have driven a few thousands kilometers Fuel Economy : 18 kpl Good : Design, Looks, performance Bad : Nothing there which don't like Full Review I have purchased my brand new Hyundai Elite i20 Asta option on 12-12-2016 Exterior Excellent material quality, Few days ago, my car was outside of my parking (on road), and one big fighter bull comes and hit my right side of car with his head 18-20 times, but good things is that only small scratches and minor bend on my car, instead of huge brands. That is the quality of Hyundai. Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior is very nice and luxurious, you will get an experience like you are sitting in any luxury car like Audi or Mercedes. The rear seat is 60:40 ratio so your boot space will be an increase, Enough boot space for a family car. All required features for full comfort, rear side AC vents so that back side people also feel cool. Engine Performance, Fuel Economy, and Gearbox Engine performance is very nice, smooth like makkhan, Fuel economy is ok, sometimes it give less average as expected or as mentions but sometimes its give more average also, Some day my car gives 9-12 km average in city, but some day give 20+ average also. One day I am coming from Pune to Mumbai nearly 110, my car take only 4.66 liter petrol, gives 20+ average on mumbai-pune expressway Average depends on Road, Traffic and your driving skills, And if you are going to buy new car then you should not ask for average, Ride Quality & Handling. I have learn driving on my this new Hyundai Elite i20 Asta option car, very nice handling, easy for drive and easy for new driver, you can imagine I have learned driving in this car then how best its handling. And, I am coming to safety purpose & features. First of all, we all need to know about safety. There is total 6 Airbags available in this car. It's best for family, and back side persons also safe.. Braking system: (ABS) Anti-lock Braking system, An anti-lock braking system or anti-skid braking system (ABS) is an automobile safety system that allows the wheels on a motor vehicle to maintain tractive contact with the road surface according to driver inputs while braking, preventing the wheels from locking up (ceasing rotation) and avoiding uncontrolled skidding. Locks & security: Engine immobilizer, Engine immobilizer is an electronic security device fitted to an automobile that prevents the engine from running unless the correct key (or other token) is present. This prevents the car from being "hotwired" after entry has been achieved and thus reduces motor vehicle theft. Final Words Awesome, only one word (AWESOME) Areas of improvement Yes, 1) should provide Sunroof 2) New Model with Automatic Transmission 3) Auto Central lock should provide, my car is top model then also no Auto Central lock option, even Maruti desire also provide this feature, 4) No leather seats, there is only Fabric seats, should provide leather seat for car at least for top model. (How to take Average of CAR) 1) Full your tank with first click of pump, 2) Note down the kilometer run already or set is to 0.0 3) Drive your car for some kilometer distance should be more than 50 km, 4) Full your tank again with first click of pump 5) Note down kilometer runs you, and Note down how much petrol it require for cover this kilometers. Easily you will get average.
