- Santro 2021 Pros Or ConsI bought Santro Magna in Aug 2021. Plus: Nice car in this budget, 20+mileage on the highway. Good interior or exterior, 4 cylinders. No vibration, even if you go more than 100 Music system Minus: 13kmpl mileage give in the city. No airbag for passenger. A/C does not chill as I expect (maybe it will be fixed after service). - Bought Santro Sports AMT Version Good Looking Family CarBought the Santro Sports AMT version of 2018 on 01/19. It's good looking family car at an affordable price. I can't drive a manual car so bought the AMT version. Previous I had Wagon R AMT. My clutch plates were damaged in the middle of the highway at 12000kms. It has to be towed down. The service center informed that it's occurred due to a driving fault in manual mode. I have used the manual version only on a few occasions. Mostly I have driven10000kms in city conditions. So in the city, I have used Drive mode. After the clutch replacement, I have completed another 10000kms only on Auto mode now I am afraid of using manual mode. I suggest using auto mode instead of manual. Mileage keeps changing as per driving. The lowest recorded is 6kms and the highest is 24.3kms. average I get around 12kms in city. It's a very comfortable and good-looking interior and exterior. Those having this AMT version. I suggest using mostly on Auto mode. - AverageI have purchased Hyundai Santro Magna from the Bahraich branch of Balaji motors Hardoi. during the test drive, I had told that the horn is weak, the same horn was provided with the vehicle. Horn of Santro Magna if original it must be replaced in all vehicles. Same at the time of delivery it was told that fog lamp has not reached from hardoi,it will be fitted as soon as available. - Santro My Dream CarOverall, the new Santro is very good but after 4 months, the noise has started to come out from the engine. Technicians of the company authorised service centre repaired it two times but failed to rectify it. Further, they requested to send the car to their service centre for claiming warranty. I have purchased it for regular use. So the company should provide me with one substitute car for my daily use. Hyundai is producing no harassed car but somehow I have been harassed. - Poor Pickup In CNG.Hyundai Santro is a good car in terms of mileage and space as compared to others in the segment, but the pickup in CNG is very bad and if we use AC with CNG then sometimes the situation becomes worst. The company response in terms of the complaint is very bad and nobody is there to listen to you. I visited almost 30 times for engine warning light complaints in service center but still, the issues are not resolved. - Impressive, But Not In Every Aspect.This is my first car and I am writing this review at 11000 km in 10 months. Mine is Sportz MT and I drive it myself. I shortlisted this car because I wanted to get a compact hatch with good built quality, ample space, good safety, and reliable service. Pros: 1. Excellent interior, fit, and finish are awesome. Feels like the upper segment. 2. Extremely refined 4 cylinder engine. No cabin noise or vibration. 3. Ample space. All of our family members are happy with space and comfort. 4. Great AC. With rear AC vent. 5. Feature-rich. Great infotainment system with android auto, apple car play, mirror link, etc. Steering mounted controls. Feels great to drive it. The steering wheel is excellent. The suspension is great, absorbs the ups and downs of the rough roads very well. 6. Great service network and extremely low cost of maintenance Cons: 1. Lazy engine. Doesn't have the punch. Often need to downshift while overtaking, esp with AC on. Many of the competitors have better pick up even with lesser capacity. 2. Mileage is not impressive. Many of the competitors have greater engine capacity and better pick up with similar mileage. 3. Safety is comprised. An only driver-side airbag is available except in the top variant, where you get two front airbags. They could have offered passenger-side airbags as optional. GNCAP crash test result disappointed me. Only 2 stars. The speed-sensing auto door lock is missing in my variant, which, I feel is annoying. 4. On the highway, over the speed of 90kmph, I feel less confident, because the steering is very light and the design is tall, so feels a bit unstable, because of higher centre of gravity. In short. Santro has a very unique 1.1 L, 4 cylinder engine unlike any of its competitors. But I can't find any use of this except very refined and silent operation. This doesn't feel more powerful compared to the other options with the 1L engine, nor it gives better mileage than other options with 1.2L more powerful engines. Safety is seriously compromised. I bought it with a BS-IV engine option, and today, with BS-VI engine, its almost 75K more costly. So, choose it if you want a comfortable, feature-rich hatch which is easy to drive, but not very concerned about the safety and engine power.
