I was considering a couple of other cars in this segment like the Skoda Rapid, Volkswagen Vento & Honda City. My Intention was clear, to buy a Petrol Car, as I am not a fan of the hard fuel (diesel). The Vento and the Rapid are fuel guzzlers, the City was decent however commanded a premium for no reason I could establish. The Ciaz is the car I fell in love the moment I saw it, for a first; it looks like a car that belongs to a segment a notch higher than the one that it competes in. The Interiors are plush and luxurious, I would still give it to the Honda city in the seat comfort and the quality of seats. However, on the comfort front, I think the Ciaz sweeps it. It is stable and absorbs most of the pots with a sublime ease and barely transfers the thud inside. The manoeuvrability and handling are good enough and the car handles like a cake. The power delivery is linear and the car may not excite you initially, however, get used to the power delivery and you will be able to take the maximum meat out of the machine. However, if you are a very power hungry person or a person who loves to cruise at higher speeds this 1.4 L piston ain't gonna help & this is the least powerful car in its segment, the others are 1.5L and 1.6L engines. However, if you are a steady cruiser and love comfort over excitement, iIsuggest you look no further. The mileage is one department that the Ciaz excels and beats the competition by leaps and bounces. I easily get around 18 kmpl on the highways and around 13 kmpl in city traffic. For a car of this size, I am sure that's incredible. The boot space is massive and can take three full-size suitcases with ease along with a couple of handbags as well. The music system's sound quality is really good. The NVH levels are fair and good for a car of this segment. All in all, I am happy with my buy and simply in love with it.
