Very good SUV in such a lower price with very good space and powerful engine. Can be used very roughly. Low maintenance car.

My father purchased the Sumo Gold 4 years back and I must say it has proved to be the most reliable workhorse for ferrying people around. I have a large family and I live in outskirts. So my father wanted a car for carrying 7-8 people in the vicinity and that too in the price range of Rs. 7 lakhs. When I first heard that Tata has launched a powerful version of the Sumo SUV, I searched about it and asked some of my friends who were more knowledgeable in this field. They suggested me to go for this SUV since it was in our price range and can absorb a whole lot of people. The car looks mediocre but in area in which I am living, people don?t care much about styling and so on. As far as comfort is concerned, the third row is certainly a cramped one and you can?t ask much in SUV like this. Big ground clearance and power steering make my drive convenient. For a large family with budget concern, Tata Sumo could be the best choice.

Look and Style: good. Comfort: not bad. Pickup: 3 liter super engine. Mileage: near 13. Best Features: Handling. Overall Experience: Very good vehicle, big space everything ok, but resale value isn't impressive. In india, most cheap resale value vehicle. If you sale the vehicle after one or two year, you lose big amount. I lost 2.5 lakhs. Bought the vehicle in 8 lakhs and sold the vehicle next year only for 5.5 lakhs. Even the company also assured offers very very small price. Sumo victa get more resale price as compared to sumo gold.

I am a huge fan of the Tata Sumo and also a proud owner of the top end model Tata Sumo Gold GX. This SUV has one of the sturdiest body structures in comparison with any other vehicle in its competition and it can take you over any road in the country, effortlessly. I travel a lot on the highways and also into many villages, where generally the roads are not proper. But, Tata Sumo Gold has not given me any kind of trouble till date and has always been dependable. All these features are of enhanced convenience for my travel and are used aptly for my comfort and luxury during my frequent travel. This SUV also comes with many protective and safety features like remote central locking and power door locks, which keeps my vehicle safe from any unauthorized entry giving me a peaceful night of sleep. The audio system is very good and keeps me and my colleagues in good spirits all through my travel. The price of this Tata Sumo Gold is affordable and the servicing and repair costs are also easy on the pocket, which is very comforting for any car user. Overall, I am very pleased with this SUV and it is my best partner in all my travel since quite some time now and will also be with me for many more years to come.

Though the exteriors of Tata Sumo Gold are not that interesting but still its design catches the eye with its masculine and tough stance. I got attracted with its simple looks and I believe that it always remains on the top list for those who believe that beauty lies in simplicity. Comfort Tata Motors tried to offer comfort in many manners. The MUV is blessed with a powerful AC, heater and demister forms major part of comfort. Further the MUV also have power windows and Tinted glass that acts like a barrier between sun and passengers. The MUV has quite comfortable seating arrangement for 10 passengers. Pickup The MUV delivers an average pick up which is enough to drive the MUV on the Indian terrains. Mileage The company claims that the new Tata Sumo Gold is an extremely fuel efficient MUV and offers the mileage of 14.7 kmpl. Best Features The best feature I like in the Tata Sumo is that the maintenance cost of the MUV is very minimal that suits my budget. Apart from it the MUV is very fuel efficient. Both the features render the car to be pocket friendly in the current scenario where the fuel prices are increasing every now and then. Needs to improve The area where Tata needs to work more is the addition of the safety and security features. The MUV lacks the advanced safety features like ABS, EBD and airbags which are quite necessary in an MUV. Overall Experience Overall I believe that the new Tata Sumo Gold is a better option since its a fuel efficient MUV and the maintenance cost is also low. The only feature that drags behind the MUV is the lack of safety features.
