    Value for money, Spacious mid range hatchback
    TATA BOLT XT (Petrol) It comes with dual engine options: 1.2L Revotron petrol engine and 1.3L Quadrajet Diesel engine. XT is a top model. The car looks good, built is solid. It has 3 drive modes - Eco, City and Sport, which comes handy. Electric Power Steering is smooth and helps for easy driving. Power delivery, acceleration is good enough. Car is 3.8m long and 1.695m wide, which helps comfortable sitting for 3 people in a rear seat. Boot space is 220L. The top model comes with attractive features like, Smoky projector headlamps, 7" Harman touch screen music system (which delivers awesome sound quality), 175/65/R15 Alloy Wheels, auto AC. Price is 7L for the top model, which makes it a value for money mid-range hatchback.

    Value for money with Robust Structure
    Exterior, Though it resembles with Vista, it is a completely new product. The Vista platform gives it a much-needed cabin space so it's just a perception that car looks like Vista so its a taxi. It is better looking than a few of its competition and its sad to see that the critics also see the resemblance as a downside. Further, the new taxi cars on the roads today are Accent, Swift, and Liva so this perception should not bother anyone now. Interior: (Features, Space & Comfort) Superbly spacious. Rear seats are blessing for a family of five. Legroom is exceptionally great and it provides a superior comfort compared to swift (i have driven swift a lot of times). Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is a great piece of engineering, multidrive modes actually work and the shift in power is instantly evident (no other car in this price range gives such a great feature). Fuel economy is quite good I am getting around 14 KMPL in city and around 19 on Highway. If you drive this car sensibly it may give even more mileage. Gearbox is smooth but has little vibration which is an area of improvement but this can be ignored. Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is very good. This car is confident at high speeds, unlike swift which starts wobbling when pushed hard. Also, it manages Indian roads really well as it is heavier than swift and suspension is on the harder side, it sometimes feels as sturdy as an SUV. Final Words If safety is your priority then don't go by perceptions of others - It is a great car and xms version gives the most value for money as u get all safety features in around 5.50 lacs whereas for Hyundai and Maruti one needs to pay around 6.50 lacs for safety features. Areas of improvement TATA please provide some bottle holders in door pockets (although space provided under co-passenger seat and huge glove box can accommodate 4-5 one-liter bottle but it's still not that comfortable as we have only one designated bottle holder in the car).

    Tata Bolt - Value for money & very reliable
    From the days of the ubiquitous INDICA, the Tata design team has come a long way. Tata Bolt, a precursor to Tata Tigor, Tiago, Hexa, Tata BOLT, was definitely an unmatched offering from an Indian Car Manufacturer. In its segment, it offers more value for many as against its competition in the Hatch Back segment. I own three cars from my daily business runs - A SKODA Rapid, a NISSAN Micra and a TATA Bolt. I travel over 250 KMs daily in any one of these car but mostly on the Highway and very little in the congested city Traffic. Though SKODA rapid is in a different segment altogether, and is pricy, it does laRtn. Professor E.I Ravindranathck a few features that the Bolt offers. As I write this review, I have already done close 55000 KMS in the last 16 months of my ownership of the Bolt. It has met and exceeded all my expectations. As a serious user of the car, with over a lakh KMS of travel by road every year, and being a good driver myself with a eye for the performance factors of any car, I can say that this car is definitely an excellent car, but has not yet caught the imagination of the buyers in the Hatchback Segment, that it very rightly deserves. Having said this, let me give my impressions about the car. The Engine is truly remarkable and has never let me down even once. It is a beauty. It gives enough and more pick-up for its 1248 CC Diesel engine, and reach a comfortable speeds of 120 KM on the highway. No doubt, it does feel wanting in power beyond this limit. The gear ratios are good and the pick-up torque is more than sufficient for most drivers. The mileage that I get with the AC on all the time and on the highway, at an average speed of above 90 KMS, is about 17.4 KMS/ Litre of diesel. If you can run consistently at about 1900 RPM the mileage that I could get was about 20.5 KMS to a litre. SKODA Rapid with its 1499 CC Engine gives me close 19.0 KMS to a litre. The body shape reminds you still of the INDICA lines. If you disregard the close semblance, the lines and shape of this car is as good as you can appreciate. The paint work has improved in all TATA Cars. The fit-and-finish, has some room to improve on the body works. Some vibrations are discernible. Drive and handling is one area, that I have not found any complaint at all. My drivers also find this car very good to drive long-distances in.The EPAS and the ergonomics and the view of the road from the driver's seat, the ORVM, and the gear shift is as good as it can be. The ground clearance is really very good in any TATA Car and BOLT stands up to this expectation. With about 55000 KMS, I have had to change the 4 tyres very recently and the tyre-wear was well within my expectations. The interior of the BOLT is good as any of the rest for this price-point in this segment. Nothing great, nevertheless, nothing substandard either. The quality of plastics used inside the cabin has undergone a sea-change. The piano key black touch all along the dashboard is really good. The controls are well placed. The Connect Next and the Audio system is very good with remote control. The bluetooth connectivity and the configurable settings for the electronic features are good for the discerning users. The AC is simply superp. Compared to any other car in this segment, the AC and the climate control settings are definitely way ahead of what is normally found in the competitive cars.The BOLT is definitely spacious and the legroom for the rear passengers are quite reasonable and adequate, almost similar to the spacious INDICA VISTA. The Safety features have not been fully tested in my experience so far, and thankfully so. The ABS and EBD are nowadays standard at this price point. But the Cornering/ Traction Control, is a highpoint of this car and it does precisely what it is meant to do - give you a better control over high-speed cornering and reducing the body roll - Not that the size of this car would have any great body roll, yet this Cornering control does kick-in when needed. That is an assurance in safety. The Dual AIrbags that come with this model, is ample for a hatchback. TATA has definitely an edge in terms of designed seriousness about passenger and vehicle safety. Coming to the Service Quality, TATA needs to improve a lot. Much of the image makeover that TATA attempts to make both through great design changes, packages filled with excellent features, good pricing and improved advertising, will be eroded if the Service Quality at the Dealer level is not taken to a different level. If service quality had been the only criteria in my list, I would have preferred NISSAN or a SUZUKI car. More than anything else, the customers are pissed off by the way they are treated in any TATA dealership and that is one big handicap that affects the volumes for this great car manufacturer. Rtn. Professor E.I RavindranathI have wonderful experience with the NISSAN service and it is definitely way ahead of Gurudev Motors for my SKODA and SAYAR motors (the local dealer) for this TATA. Though the cost of maintenance is one half of what I pay per KM as compared to SKODA maintenance costs, the treatment meted out to customers in a TATA dealership ends at a good note by the time the sales pitch is over. NISSAN on the other hand, seems to check all the right boxes when it comes to service quality. Comparison is meant purely as a challenge for improvement. The cost of spares of any TATA product is very reasonable, as is with Suzuki spares. Maintenance costs of usage (with my high usage), comes to less than 40 paise per KM and the tyre wear cost come to close 27 paise per KM of travel. With about 17.1 KM to a litre of diesel the overall running costs are extremely economical compared to the other two brands that I own.

    Nothing Better Than Bolt
    Tata has really come up with a very good car. If one isn't prejudiced, this is way better than the Swift. The car comes with an infotainment system which is very good and has practicality. Though some reviews say storage spaces are less, you can keep three one litre bottles below the co-passenger seat and another one litre in the glove box. The glove box is deep. Other than this one can house half litre bottles in door pockets. The AC effect is very good. The air throw is just amazing. Rear passengers will have comfortable journey during long drives because it is very close to travelling in an SUV. Cabin insulation is awesome. The turbocharged engine is very useful on highways in sports mode. It has very good ground clearance and very stable at high speeds and curves. It manages the humps and potholes in a mature way. The features are almost equivalent to a 10 lakh car. Tata has really worked on this. None of the Hyundai and Maruti cars get these many features at this price. If anyone is thinking of a Swift or an i120, it's time to look at Bolt.

    BOLT is a BOLD Presence of TATA. Love this Car.
    Test Drive the Bolt Petrol XT(REVOTRON) in Rajkot City for 25 Minutes. Sharing the experience of Test drive & already booked Bolt XM. Loved the performance of the car as compared to cars in the same segment. Compared the Car with already Test Driven ones - Beat, Sail Hatchback, Brio, Grand i10, i10. Look and Style:- First lets discuss about the Exterior:- It'so sporty with a black pillar paint at back. The Head Lamps with a blackened Finish & Projector Head Lamps adds a little cheekiness & Cat view to the car. The Center bulge in Bonnet reminds of the Octavia (OLD one) & gives it a brilliant look with BOLD presence. The Chrome finish on Fog Lamps gives it an executive look. Now comes the interior:- The interior is plush with all new world technological gadgets & also gives a very impressive look. Tata has done a lot and matched the prices within common man's pocket. The Harmann Touch screen Infotainment. Steering mounted Controls. Chrome Finish on Side doors handle & dashboard. The interior is much refined & updated according to today's demand. Hats OFF to TATA for such bold & generous move to create the ambience in the car. Comfort: Already an owner of Indigo TDi and loved the space & seating comfort TATA cars provide. With Multidrive Option to choose from SPORTS mode its best to have optimum performance from the car. The best in the segment, I would say. It is very comfortable for three people to seat at the back seat and has good leg room. The steering moves very smoothly and makes your drive comfortable. The power steering seems to be the best in the segment. The speedometer and related information given by softwares are very good and informative. There are various safety features and it gives a sense of confidence in the product. With Multidrive Option to choose from SPORTS mode is best to have optimum performance from the car. Pickup: Now its time to tell about driving experience. The car starts in default City Mode. with medium Pickup & cruise to 60 Km/hr in 15-20 Sec. The car once shifted to Sports mode has ability to gain acceleration of 60 KM/hr in 10-12 Sec. A rapid gap of 10 secs can make them count on any drag race. Although the car is not meant for racing experience but one can have the feeling of Power under the hood when switched to Sports mode. Mileage: The Test Drive Model was giving Average Fuel economy of 10.8Km/l when checked by me & on Highway it was 15.6Km/L. Although yet to know in detail waiting for my own BOLT. Best Features: Everything I love about this car. The XM variant features ABS with EBD, Infotainment (Non Touch screen) with all other basic accesories. Needs to improve: Nothing to improve. Loves the car as it is made. The second to the line variant suffice all the basic needs as well as safey features such as ABS with EBD. What else a customer require at such an attractive prices. Overall Experience: Stability of the car is very good on the road with ABS & EBD. Felt like sitting in a compact SUV. I drove other cars but never felt so easy to drive. Driving comfort is excellent. The Best Pack is Safety pack and interiors. TATA has done its best to improve. Lets go for the Bolt.
