Tata Tiago is very fun to drive and quite a lively car. The interior feels upbeat and the dashboard positioning is better than the other competing cars as it gives a better view. The instrument panel gives a sporty look which makes you feel energetic while driving. The compactness of the vehicle makes it easier to maneuver in the city. Coming to performance the gear shifting seems a little rough and the clutch also feels a little hard. The 69bhp (diesel variant) might give the reader a sense of being an underpowered car but the figure is just enough to give this lightweight a smooth and peppy ride. Also, the torque of 140 NM is more than enough for it. Tiago gives a rather practical range of rpm keeping it powered at all times. Going down the full throttle, it certainly pushes you back in the seat. The cabin feels quite comfortable and gives the hints of a premium hatchback. The diesel variant feels a little noisy and well so does every diesel cars in this segment. The steering is quite light which makes it more fun to drive. The seats are comfortable and the viewing angle just gives you more confidence while driving. The rear seats can be a little disappointing with smaller legroom but there is enough thigh support so if you're shorter than 6 feet, then long drives won't be a problem. For the verdict, the car is suitable for both long drive and short city drives and the superb torque figures won't bore you even in long drives.
