The engine of Maruti SX4 S Cross is underpowered when considering it for the city because you will never feel like you can do it, so much turbo lag under 1900rpm, but as you pass this, the engine is very punchy, its best for the highway . You can easily cruise between 120kpm to 140kmph and even the ride quality at this speed is so phenomenal that you will not even feel like its 120. Build quality is fine, body is very dent prone and even stone chips can scratch paint and cause dents. Under 15000 km, your car starts rattling and that's the biggest concern. Ride quality- best ride quality, it feels like its a hatchback, planted to the road, even after being a front-wheel-drive its a capable mild off-roader. Suspension noise is very intrusive. Its joy at the corners. And the wide tyres are boon. Love to drive it. Interiors- feature-loaded at very less price than others, but again build quality, sunglass holder, parcel tray, glove box, everything rattles. Door side pannels are way softer or we can call them weak. The overall package is very attractive but don't buy it if you want it to last for more than 3 years, it will start looking very old very soon and you will again feel a need to upgrade. AND MOST IMPORTANT, MILAGE CLAIMED IS FALSE , BECOZ CAR STRUGGLE SO MUCH WITH 4 PASSENGER ON BOARD THAT IT CRY TO KEEP IT ABOVE 1900RPM AND THUS YOU GET ONLY 7 T0 10 KMPL IN CITY, MOSTLY 7 OR 8, BUT OUT ON HIGHWAY IT SHINES, BECOZ AT A STEADY SPEED OF 80 AND 4 PASSENGERS ONBOARD IT CAN EVEN GIVE YOU 30KMPL. RESALE WILL BE LOWER THEN EXPECTED.
