Unreliable Car, Avoid

I had bought a VENTO TDI Highline in 2011. The vehicle has done less than 50000 Km. Recently, while driving in plains on a highway I experienced sudden loss of power and vibrations with Ignition Coil warning indication and Engine check light flashing. After inspection in workshop, it was revealed that one of the Fuel Injectors had failed. As the car has been serviced by authorized Volkswagen dealers only and at prescribed intervals as per the schedule, the breakdown of the car with no prior indication is not expected. For a Vento class of vehicle, failure of such a critical component at such an early stage is worrisome and raises serious question about the design and reliability of Volkswagen vehicle. The replacement of the Fuel injector cost me a whopping Rs 22000/-. I had blindly bought the vehicle trusting the Volkswagen Logo but now my faith in Volkswagen vehicles is shattered. I have been driving cars for 40 years now all over India but it is the first time the car has let me down. Old basic models of Fiat or Maruti never broke down like this. I have also come to know Volkswagen is aware of the problem of reliability of Fuel Injectors in these models but is doing nothing to replace the same, maybe even at subsidised cost. As of now I am not confident of taking this vehicle out of the city limits.
