A very first look at this beautiful car takes your breath away and although it is not the most stylish car in its segment, it truly is an eye catcher! Volkswagen has proved their prowess in engineering and car making with Vento and a quick ride is enough to feel it. The overall stance of the new Vento is aggressive yet classy and gives you a good feel of style and strength. Having said that, it is one of the safest cars in its segment and that's German engineering. Every nook and corner is typically German style edgy and thus emboldens a masculine look of the car. The doors are consistent in gaps with frame and practically have gaps just to pass a credit card. Not being biased, but the Toffee Brown colour enhances the look. Whether you buy a starting variant or the top one, this stylish aggressive look remains the same. Inside the cabin, the flat bottom steering, adequately equipped dashboard and beige/dual tone interior give a roomy feeling although this varies by variants. The windscreen is widespread with plenty of frame of view and comfortable driving experience in terms of the front view of the road. A pillar is nicely located and doesn't hinder your vision on turns. A cooled glove box is an attraction although not a chiller. Sitting on the second row is comfortable with an adequate throw of air conditioning and seating. Although the middle seat is not that great due to the transmission hump on the floor, the overall experience is good. The diesel variant gives you a sturdy experience as the shock absorbers are bit stiff but not uncomfortable. The most favourite thing to me about this car is the driving pleasure it offers. The 1.5-litre diesel motor is packed with power, and although a sixth gear would have added to the pleasure, the 5-speed manual transmission gives you the punch the moment you throttle up. With AC running full and 5 persons seated, this car comfortably picks up on lower gear even after slowing up on the speed breakers and that's what I like most. If you're looking for that powerful feel of driving, not worried too much about mileage, then this is the car you should drive. It's costlier enough than its rivals but safer enough to put aside all considerations of buying a rival car. Thus my favourite in the segment.
