    Q.

I AM CONFUSED IN TAKING DECISION, WHETHER IT IS RIGHT TIME TO CHANGE MY OLD DIESEL CAR OR NOT. ACTUALLY I HAVE FORD FIGO 2014 MODEL,DIESEL VARIANT IN ABSOLUTELY BEST CONDITION, DEMANDING NO WORK AT ALL, BUT AS IT IS MORE THAN FIVE YEARS OLD AND COMPLETED 51000 KM JOURNEY ON ROAD, I THINK IS IT RIGHT TIME TO CHANGE MY CAR TO NEWER ONE OR TO CONTINUE WITH THIS FOR TWO OR THREE YEARS TO GOT MAXIMUM OUT OF IT.

Purchasing a new car totally depends on your choice, if you want to purchase a new car you can go with that decision but you won\'t face any issue with your current Figo diesel as Ford has decided to launch its diesel variant with BS6 norms. Moreover, using Figo for next 2-3 years won\'t make any issue with after sale service and maintenance of the car.

Selecting between the petrol and diesel fuel type would depend on your daily or average monthly running with the car. If you drive for an average of around 50 kilometres or more in a day then we\'d recommend you to go with the diesel engine as they have better fuel efficiency and consume lesser fuel compared to the petrol engines resulting in cheaper running costs. On the other hand, if you drive less, then you may opt for the petrol engine.

If you are traveling less than 50-60km a day, opt for a petrol car instead of diesel. A diesel usually makes sense if you are driving above 60/70km a day. If you\'ll be driving more in heavy city traffic then we suggest you to opt for Automatic Transmission which are easier to use and more comfortable for the driver, while Manual Transmission vehicles are less expensive more involved
