Kia has only confirmed a turbo-petrol and a diesel engine for the Carens, and we believe these will be borrowed from the Seltos, where they make 140PS/242Nm and 115PS/250Nm, respectively. These engines will get a 7-speed DCT (dual-clutch transmission), a 6-speed automatic, and a standard 6-speed manual. We believe the Carens will also likely get a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine (115PS/144Nm), mated to a 6-speed manual as standard. The Carens will get three drive modes: Eco, Normal, and Sport. Stay tuned for further updates. Follow the link to get an alert when Kia Carens is launched.
