महिन्द्रा ने अपनी नई फ्लैगशिप एसयूवी अल्टुरस जी4 को भारत में लॉन्च कर दिया है। यह दो वेरिएंट टू-व्हील-ड्राइव और ऑल-व्हील-ड्राइव में उपलब्ध है। इनकी कीमत क्रमशः 26.95 लाख रूपए और 29.95 लाख रूपए (एक्स-शोरूम) रखी गई है। इसका मुकाबला टोयोटा फॉर्च्यूनर, फोर्ड एंडेवर, इसुज़ु एमयू-एस, होंडा सीआर-वी, मित्सुबिशी आउटलैंडर और स्कोडा कोडिएक से होगा।
महिन्द्रा अल्टुरस जी4 में 2.2 लीटर का डीज़ल इंजन लगा है, जो 181 पीएस की पावर और 420 एनएम का टॉर्क देता है। यह इंजन 7-स्पीड ऑटोमैटिक गियरबॉक्स से लैस है। इस में टू-व्हील-ड्राइव और ऑल-व्हील-ड्राइव का विकल्प मिलता है।
महिन्द्रा अल्टुरस जी4 की लंबाई 4850 एमएम, चौड़ाई 1960 एमएम और ऊंचाई 1845 एमएम है। इसका व्हीलबेस 2865 एमएम है, जो कि सेगमेंट में सबसे बड़ा है।
महिन्द्रा अल्टुरस जी4 में एंड्रॉयड ऑटो और एपल कारप्ले सपोर्ट करने वाला 8.0 इंच टचस्क्रीन इंफोटेंमेंट सिस्टम, क्रूज़ कंट्रोल, प्रोजेक्टर हैडलैंप्स, डे-टाइम रनिंग एलईडी लाइटें, 18 इंच अलॉय व्हील, विंडशिल्ड डी-आईसर, 8 तरह से पावर एडजस्ट होने वाली ड्राइवर सीट, वेंटिलेटेड सीटें, टू-जोन क्लाइमेट कंट्रोल, टायर प्रेशर मॉनिटरिंग सिस्टम, फ्रंट और रियर पार्किंग सेंसर जैसे फीचर स्टैंडर्ड दिए गए हैं। ऑटो एचआईडी हैडलैंप्स, एलईडी फॉग लैंप्स, 360 डिग्री कैमरा, सनरूफ, एम्बिएंट लाइटिंग, पावर टेलगेट, 7.0 इंच कलर एमआईडी और रेन सेंसिंग वाइपर जैसे फीचर को ऑल-व्हील-ड्राइव वेरिएंट तक सीमित रखा गया है। ऑल-व्हील-ड्राइव वेरिएंट में सेगमेंट फर्स्ट फीचर के तौर पर ईजी एक्सेस मोड दिया गया है।
महिन्द्रा अल्टुरस में पैसेंजर सुरक्षा के लिए ईएसपी, एंटी-रोलओवर प्रोटेक्शन (एआरपी), हिल स्टार्ट असिस्ट (एचएसए), हिल डिसेंट कंट्रोल (एचडीसी), इमरजेंसी स्टॉप सिग्नल (ईएसएस), ट्रेक्शन कंट्रोल और आईएसओफिक्स चाइल्ड सीट एंकर जैसे फीचर दिए गए हैं। ऑल-व्हील-ड्राइव वर्जन में 9 एयरबैग और टू-व्हील-ड्राइव वर्जन में ड्यूल एयरबैग दिए गए हैं।
