Since its inception in the year 2013, I was really fond of Nissan Terrano. The way it was designed was truly awe-inspiring. And since it has been built on the same platform as of Duster, the build quality and trust was unquestionable. I thought to purchase a compact SUV last year in June and fortunately, just two months before Nissan launched the updated model of Terrano. I was truly excited to know this and the once I test drove the car, the decision to buy was inevitable. The 2017 model has really made this car stand shoulder to shoulder to the competitors. Though, the outside changes were minor, it was the interiors that were the focus of customer feedback. At the outside, the side mirrors have been redesigned and are now electrically retractable and house integrated turn signal indicators. Inside, the new Nissan Terrano has been made more interesting. The car now features dual toned black and brown cabin and soft touch plastics on the dashboard along with fox leather inserts. Other prominent changes include 7-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with inbuilt navigation and Bluetooth support, cruise control, anti-pinch driver side window, speed limiter, steering-stalk mounted infotainment controls, one-touch indicators, and revamped instrument cluster. Those who know about the interiors of the previous model must know about the oddly placed rear ac vents. Thankfully, they have been replaced by a bottle holder. The car also gets a safety tech feature in the form of hill assist control that prevents the car from sliding back. Enginewise, the car remains unchanged and since I was power hungry, I chose the 110hp model which is excellent in performance. It can handle almost any type of road surface and yet doesn?t compromise on comfort inside. So, Nissan has really given a new lease of life to the ailing Terrano. It will surely cement its position in the space.
