Maruti Vitara Brezza

I own a Maruti Vitara Brezza. It is one of the best of its kind. The Vitara Brezza doesn't shine in any particular area but instead, it comes across as a very well rounded package. It has a right mix of look, technology and practicality, but it does have its shortcomings. The proven 1.3-litre diesel engine is on the nosier side, the typical Japanese light build doesn't go very well with it, being an SUV and the stiff low-speed ride is not comfortable. Maruti might be shying away from introducing a petrol engine in the Brezza but it couldn't stay away from bringing in an automatic. Now, in typical Maruti style, the Brezza gets an automated manual transmission or an AMT. The more expensive and sophisticated options like a CVT or a torque converter or even a dual-clutch automatic have obviously been given a miss to keep things affordable.  Now, before getting to what's new, let's have a look at what continues unchanged. The Brezza automatic still gets the same 1.3-litre diesel engine with a variable geometry turbocharger, ABS and front two airbags are still standard, there's still no real dearth of space inside, and the claimed fuel economy figure still hovers around the 24kmpl mark.
