Maruti Celerio 2 Year Owner Review

This is my first car. It's been two years and has done 27k km. I am happy but with few compromise. When I first started searching for a new car to buy, I was looking with following criteria. It should be a hatchback, Good spacious interior, decent looking exterior, price within 4.8 lacs, Good mileage, decent performance. My choice was i10, Brio and Celerio . i10 I didn't like the old age look. Brio is a bit costly for me. So I end up narrow downing to the Celerio lxi version which cost me around 4.5 lacs.   It has been 2 yrs since I own this car. I didn't face any major problem. The gear changes are hard sometimes. There is no enough torque to pull the car with 5 passengers. Hill climbing is very risky if you take 5 passengers. Mileage is something disappoints me. My friend has swift petrol and he is getting around 13 kmpl in city. Celerio also gives the same. On the other side, on the highway, if you maintain a speed between of 80 to 100 kmph with 1 co-passenger then it will give 19 to 20 kmpl. Which is fine for me.   The biggest plus could be the interior space. It's very spacious. It feels like a sedan when you sit in the back. Good leg room.   Over all I am happy with it. But had to compromise on the power and mileage.
