There is no other supercar in the market that blends power, beauty and soul when you press the ignition, the way the Aston Martin V8 Vantage does. Aston Martin cars are known for their superior performance and outstanding quality. These cars are amazingly fast but also very comfortable to drive. They have all the abilities of a Grand Tourer. The looks of the Aston Martin Vantage are jaw dropping and the car has finesse spilled all over it. The Aston Martin V8 vantage is very similar to the Aston Martin DB9 in terms of features. The car has a low stance which makes it look like a sports car but on the inside it also makes you feel like you are in a sedan considering the tremendous comfort offered. The company offers this car in both Coupe and Roadster versions with an “S” variant to both the versions. The car uses a horizontal splitter under the lower front grille in order to increase airflow under the car. A new lower front air dam and bumper setup built from carbon fibre creates a more aggressive look than before for the front end of the Aston Martin. This also functions to provide more air for the cooling of the new design front brakes. At the rear end of the car is a more prominent deck lid which the company claims reduces lift at high speeds. The carbon fibre diffuser also helps airflow from underneath the car. The sporty feel is further enhanced when the driver pushes the sport button on the dash allowing the exhaust bypass valves to open fully and let out a strong Aston Martin V8 rumble. The inside of the Aston Martin V8 Vantage is one of the most exquisite handcrafted cabins in the industry with impeccable levels of fit and finish. Once you get into the cabin of the Aston Martin V8 Vantage through its upswing doors, you are greeted by the embroidered VANTAGE logos on the carpets and headrests. Aston Martin wanted this car to be more driver-focused with a more involving character overall which is why, to increase performance, they have tuned the suspension and stability control. Aston Martin builds each of its V8 engines at their facility in Cologne, Germany. The Aston Martin V8 Vantage secured its position as the automakers sportiest model when it was introduced at the 2005 Geneva Motor Show for the 2006 model year and ever since then, it has lived up to every expectation a person would want both from inside and outside. The Aston Martin V8 Vantage holds the trump card when it comes to handling. It has better driving dynamics than its rivals and it also has the iconic design of the Aston Martin. While the aluminium platforms are virtually identical to the standard Aston Martin V8 Vantage coupe and roadster models, the British automaker is targeting driving enthusiasts with these heavily upgraded Aston Martin V8 Vantage S variants.
Exteriors
The Aston Martin Vantage V8 Sport has a two-door two-seat body style. The body is made of aluminium, magnesium alloy composite and steel. There are extruded aluminium door side-impact beams. The Aston Martin V8 Vantage Sport also gets halogen projector headlamps as the main beam. It also has high intensity discharge headlamps as dipped beams. The car has LED rear tail lamps. The length of the models is 4382 mm and 1866 mm wide excluding the mirrors. Including the mirrors it is 2022 mm wide. The height is 1260 mm and the wheelbase is 2601 mm. Interiors
The Aston Martin Vantage V8 Sport houses full grain leather interiors with gunmetal alloy fascia trims and graphite center console finish and leather sports steering wheel with electronically adjustable sports seats with side airbags. Present in the car are dual stage driver and passenger airbags and power-fold exterior heated mirrors , heated rear screen, automatic climate control, organic electroluminescent displays, trip computer, rear parking sensors and tyre pressure monitoring systems. The car also gets an alarm and immobiliser with remote control central locking and boot release. The vantage has a glass ECU and LED reading lights and cruise control. There is a Bluetooth telephone preparation.
Engine & Performance
The Aston Martin Vantage V8 Sport has an all alloy quad overhead camshaft with 32 valve – 4735cc V8 engine . This is a rear wheel drive engine. It also has a fully catalysed stainless steel exhaust system with active bypass valves. The compression ratio on this beast is 11.3:1.The V8 vantage has a rear-mid mounted 6-speed manual transmission as well as a sport-shift 6-speed automated manual transmission available as an option. All variants have an alloy torque tube with carbon fibre propeller shaft and limited slip differential.The car does 0-100 kmph in just 4.9 seconds . The top speed of these models is 290 kmph. The Aston Martin V8 Vantage has a city mileage of 5 kmpl and offers 8 kmpl on the highway .
Comfort
The Aston Martin V8 Vantage Sport houses full grain leather interiors, with leather sports steering wheel and electronically adjustable sports seats and automatic climate control, organic electroluminescent displays, trip computer, rear parking sensors and tyre pressure monitoring systems. The car also gets an alarm and immobiliser with remote control central door locking and boot release. The Aston Martin V8 Vantage houses a 160 W Aston Martin audio system with six-CD auto-changer. It has an integrated Apple i-pod connector . There is a USB connector with waveform audio format (WAF), windows media player (WMA) and MPEG (MP3) audio file compatibility. The system also has a 3.5 mm auxiliary input socket .
Safety & Handling
The Aston Martin V8 Vantage is steered by a rack and pinion, power assisted steering. It does 3.0 turns lock to lock. The steering column has a tilt and its reach is adjustable. The front suspensions on the Aston Martin V8 Vantage are independent double wishbone incorporating anti-dive geometry, coil springs, anti-roll bar and mono tube dampers. The rear suspension is an independent double wish bone with anti-squat and anti-lift geometry, coil springs, anti-roll bar and mono tube dampers.The brakes at the front of the V8 vantage are 355 mm with four piston Monobloc callipers and ventilated as well as grooved steel discs. The rear gets ventilated and grooved 330 mm steel discs with four piston Monobloc callipers. The car gets ABS with EBD, emergency brake assist and traction control. The car also has dynamic stability control with TRACK mode and also has a positive torque control.
