MG Hector is available with a choice of two powertrains --a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and the FCA-sourced 2.0-litre diesel-- the Hector will offer a choice of DCT and 6-speed manual transmissions. While the diesel motor makes 170PS and 350Nm of torque, the petrol engine churns out 143PS and 100Nm less than the diesel. The petrol motor will also feature a segment-first 48V mild-hybrid setup, which MG claims will aid fuel economy and limit emissions as well.
As of now, there is no exact information regarding the cost of the diesel variant. However, the car is expected to launch soon with prices around Rs 15 lakh(starting price). The exact prices of the car will be available after the official launch of the car. Stay tuned.
